Have you ever run into the need to enter a custom discount amount on the checkout page? Sure you could create a coupon code but this would be time consuming and you’d have to create a code for every single discount amount that you may need. Now there is a plugin for that – the Admin Discount. Simply choose the user role(s) that would need the capability to use it, go through the checkout process as normal and enter the discount amount (in whole numbers) at the bottom of the checkout page. The discount will be taken right out of the cart totals on the fly.

This plugin is handy for customer service discounts or or other one-time deductions that only certain user roles can access. Best of all, it’s restricted to only apply to the subtotal and not the tax or shipping amounts and cannot exceed the subtotal amount.
